Graphic design & concept development - Menu design of the new gin card - work out a concept around the promotion of magnum wine bottles every last Sunday of the month.
Client - A 30 year old Antwerp based restaurant and wine bar, Pasta Hippo Vino also know as The Antwerpse Pasta Maatschappij (APM).
Story - Humor & heritage: The flyer is a mix of classic and vintage look in combination with some humor. The link is made with the famous vintage series Magnum P.I. People never like to get caught drinking too much, especially big wine bottles. That's why they have to stay undercover like a private investigator on a mission.
Since Gin is all about heritage and tradition I chose for a menu style which reflects this - the alcoholic drink is born in Belgium and the Netherlands. The restaurant is Antwerp based, so an old map of Antwerp and its famous river de Schelde is shown. I was inspired by a Bombay Café in London called The Dishoom.
